When smoke morphs into settling dust, it loses its ability to diffuse,
spread freely, and penetrate crevices. Dust does not have such power unless you stir it up with a gust of air. The work is a reconstruction of a photograph of the British band Dome, delivering an ironic commentary on the aesthetics of power. The poses of the figures verge on pastiche; they appear to combine opposing registers, hovering between the comedy of phallic forms and the hegemony of the shadow cast by the establishment.
